Veer: Flont

It’s easier to choose the right typeface when it’s in your own words. With Veer’s Flont technology, you can test thousands of fonts online, in your own text.

We’ve included a few typefaces in the Flont tool below – take it for a test-drive.

You can access preview any characters that are accessible using the keyboard. OpenType fonts with advanced typographic features and expanded character sets can be previewed, but some alternates, ligatures, or special characters will be viewable only via the character map.

Once you’re registered or signed in, Flont appears on every type product page and in lightboxes containing only type.
On product pages, click on the Flont tab. In a lightbox, it’s above the samples.
Type your text – up to 40 characters – in the text field. The sample updates automatically.
Use the “Size” pop-up menu to see the sample anywhere from 14 to 60 points.
The “Tracking” pop-up menu lets you set the sample tighter, looser, or somewhere in between.
When a typeface includes ligatures, the “Use ligatures” checkbox will appear.
You can use a Flont sample as a comp in your layouts. Just click and drag a sample to your desktop or a local folder. Or click and hold, or right-click, and save it as an image to your disk.
To change the default sample text and size, click “Change defaults.” In the Type section, enter your new text and size, then save the changes.
If you alter the sample text or size on a typeface page, those changes will be saved until you change them again or quit your browser. The next time you visit veer.com, your defaults will be used.
