Royalty-free (RF)

With royalty-free images, you pay a single licensing fee (your initial “purchase”). You may then use images in multiple projects, as often as you like, for as long as you like. Generally, you may use product from Veer personally or for clients, in:

  • promotional/advertising materials
  • packaging
  • editorial layouts
  • web and online design
  • multimedia presentations
  • video or film productions or broadcasts

End user license agreements apply to all products, and vary with product manufacturer. Check the license agreement of the product you are purchasing for uses not listed here, such as use on items for resale. Please read license agreements carefully.

Rights-managed (RM)

Whereas royalty-free images allow repeated use in multiple projects for an unlimited time, rights-managed images offer greater exclusivity to designers and their client due to their restricted, limited-time usage agreements, and in some cases, rights protection.

Pricing of rights-managed images varies. It is calculated per image use, based on a number of factors including: usage (such as advertising or editorial), output media (such as brochure, magazine, online), region of use, image size and placement, and circulation.

Use Veer’s online pricing calculator – shown on image detail pages or in your shopping cart – to determine rights-managed pricing and protection availability, or contact a Veer account representative.

Important: Restrictions may apply to particular images, limiting usage by output media, industry, and other factors. The ability to calculate pricing using the pricing calculator does not preclude these restrictions. Please read the restriction notice, if it appears, for the image you are purchasing. Type Licenses & Extensions

When you purchase a typeface, it is licensed for a specific number of users. The number of users will varies with the type foundry (manufacturer). Note that the number of users licensed for typeface collections is different than that for single typefaces.

All typeface collections are licensed for 20 users, with the following exceptions:

  • Adobe Font Folio 10 users
  • Atomic Media Type Collection 1 user

Single typefaces are licensed as follows:

  • Adobe (ADT) 5 users
  • Alias (ALT) 5 users
  • Atomic Media (AMT) 1 user
  • Cabinet (CBT) 5 users
  • Device (DET) 5 users
  • Elsner+Flake (EFT) 5 users
  • Font Bureau (FBT) 1 user
  • Fountain (FOT) 5 users
  • G-Type (GTT) 5 users
  • IHOF (IHT) 5 users
  • Jukebox (JBT) 5 users
  • Lanston (LST) 5 users
  • Letraset Fontek (LFT) 5 users
  • Mean Tangerine (MTT) 5 users
  • P22 (PTT) 5 users
  • Red Rooster (RRT) 5 users
  • Rimmer (RMT) 5 users
  • Sherwood (SWT) 5 users
  • ShinnType (SHT) 5 users
  • Test Pilot Collective (TPT) 5 users
  • Typeco (TYT) 5 users
  • TypeTrust (TTT) 5 users
  • Umbrella (UMT) 5 users *
  • Virus (VIT) 5 users

* The 5 user licensing applies to all typefaces in the Umbrella collection with the exception of Auto, Bello, Dolly and Sauna. These typefaces are licensed for 1 user.

To license typefaces for additional users:

  1. Go to your shopping cart.
  2. Next to any type product, enter the number of additional users required in the “Quantity” box.
  3. Click “Calculate”. The cost of the additional licenses will appear.
  4. Click “Add to Cart”.
