What the judges said

YK : Hmmm, looks a bit like a catalog spread.

BB : It would make a nice book or album cover, but I don’t get lost in it.

DN : I like the way each sliver of an image challenges me to make an association with something dark or negative. Even that close-up of a smile seems perverse.

AS : The dysfunction here might be obsessive-compulsive use of squares.

YK : It actually seems more jolly than dysfunctional.

BB : I don’t get why he spelled it with an “i.” Is there hidden meaning in that?

DN : The typography doesn’t give me the same creepy feeling as the image handling does.

AS : 85 close-ups of 5 photos. Is that what they mean by macroeconomics?
