Why does my text need to be converted to paths?

Text that is not converted can cause problems for buyers who may not own that particular font. When they open up your file, they will get a prompt telling them that font cannot be found and be asked to replace the text with a font they have. This can often totally change the look of your design. This is why all text needs to be converted to paths/outlines.  Should you use text, your document information box should read: Text: None. If your text is not converted it will say Text: Trebuchet (or whatever font you used) and you will need to convert your text before submitting.
