The P22 type foundry began creating art-inspired digital fonts in 1994. After a successful beginning with packaged font sets that catered to museum gift shops and specialty stores, P22 expanded into mail order catalogs and direct marketing. Along with fonts, P22 also offers a wide range of typographically-inspired merchandise. Their focus has remained on design and art history, ensuring the continued development of relevant, historically-accurate typefaces. In addition to its in-housefont designs, P22 licenses new faces from type designers located around the world.
