About this typeface:
Cordial Bloom is the illuminated companion to the extensive Cordial family. A perfect fit when used over the top of Cordial Bold. This thoroughly unique display face is one part illuminated capitals, one part Art Deco, and one part Marian Bantjes.
Cordial Bloom is a font comprised of three basic weights: Cordial Bloom Stem, Cordial Bloom Petal, and Cordial Bloom Pistil. Within each weight for there are multiple stylistic variants. Cordial Bloom Stem and Cordial Bloom Petal each have 3 variants, while the Pistil style has six variants. Setting each weight on a separate layer you may then color each as you see fit and mix and match the various styles to create a vast variety of delightfully ornate floral display caps. The solid Stem variant of the stem can also be used as a fill. Please download the pdf guide for further instructions or visit cordialbloom.com. With ligatures and nearly 3500 total glyphs!
About the designers:
Riccardo Olocco is a self-taught graphic designer that has been freelancing in Milano and around northern Italy since the late 90s. In 2007 he relocated to Bolzano/Bozen (a pretty small town close to the Dolomite mountains where natives speak a weird German dialect he can't understand at all) to focus on his passion for type design (and not, as his friends claim, because his wife found a well-paid job there.)
Cordial is Riccardos first officially released type family, although he has designed fonts for use in magazines and other projects he has been involved in.
Daniele Zanoni is a freelance graphic and industrial designer who works and lives in Bolzano/Bozen, a small town in the Italian Alps. He began his involvement in type-design in 2008 working with his friend and colleague Riccardo Olocco.
